Here’s Why You Should Join EBATES To Save Money!
Ebates is one of the longest established cashback schemes on the Internet and it’s definitely worth adding to your cashback armory. In fact, as you get $10 for just signing up with Ebates, it’s a no-brainer to get started.
How Does Ebates Work?
It’s a cashback site. So, you go and spend money on Ebates’ partner sites and they provide you with some or all of your cash back for doing so.
Now, I want to stress – cashback sites are brilliant when you use them to get cash for things you were going to buy already, they are bad if you start buying things you don’t need to get the discounts. This isn’t limited to Ebates, don’t give in to temptation. You want to save money, not spend it.
You can also connect a credit card to Ebates which, if approved, gives you a bonus 3% cashback. I don’t like credit cards very much but if you are disciplined and pay your balance off every single month, this kind of stacking deal is good value. If not, don’t do it.
The Downsides Of Ebates
Ebates is pretty generous and you can quickly rack up substantial cash rewards. I do recommend that you use it but you should be aware that cash can take a long time to arrive, they pay out once a quarter and that’s it. So don’t expect to get a quick turn around on money.
Also, I find that while they have a lot of affiliated stores, the products that qualify for cashback are often quite limited. So, you may want to hunt around on other cashback sites to see if you can find what you want if Ebates doesn’t have it.
